Our central service is the organization of data for small organizations. Many organizations reach a size where large data tools make sense. They are expensive and do many wonderful things. Lawson Consulting LLC takes a different approach for small organizations. We customize the solution to save the organization as much money as possible while delivering a robust process that both organizes and visualizes data from many disparate systems. We use our own Common Data Model (CDM) to simplify your information.
1
Identify and curate all data sources
We spend the initial part of our contract identifying the many sources of data in your organization and prioritizing those that will move your student growth and achievement first. Student Information Systems (SIS), intervention products such as i-Ready, and assessment data are usually our first sources.
2
Connecting the Data
After initially identifying your data sources, it is time to connect the data together and move it into the Common Data Model (CDM). The CDM organizes data into a standardized structure that allows for fast development of visualizations.
3
Visualization
The final step is visualization. Data needs to be visible and easily understandable by your team. Visuals are filterable by important disaggregation groups and organizational units. Visualizations are divided into those based on the CDM and those based on ad hoc research requested by the organization.
